This is probably the best option for the majority of users. Option 1: Uninstall Messaging + Skype Note: Skype 7.0 is the desktop application which has nothing to do with skypehost.exe It makes little sense on the other hand to keep the process in suspended state if Skype Video or Messaging + Skype are not used on the system. Windows 10 will terminate suspended applications if resources they use are needed elsewhere. I suspect many will try both, but probably prefer the less intrusive notification unless of course they are working away from their PC and need the ringing to act like an alarm for them to rush back to their computer.Suspended apps use little memory and usually no cpu, and it may not make much of a difference on most systems whether skypehost.exe is listed as a suspended process or not. The lack of ringing looks to be mandatory for large group video calls, but smaller groups can decide which they prefer: ringing or a notification, and turn either one on or off. Instead, a notification will be sent so as to be less intrusive and more easily allow individuals to decline the call without disturbing anyone around them. When a large group is being invited on to a call, members will no longer be alerted with ringing. Managing 50 people on one call is tough, which is why Microsoft also decided to make a tweak to the way in which calls are initiated. The change was announced on the Microsoft Skype Community website (Opens in a new window) and it should be available to use in the latest Preview build of Skype, assuming you have 49 friends, a team of that size, or lots of clients to try it out with.
